SUMMARY:Verbal Combatants 12/2/26
DESCRIPTION:Instructors: Jacob Little & Natalee Weidner\nLocation: Ballistic Forge | 220 S Cliff Ave Suite 102\, Harrisburg\, SD 57032\nThis Clinic is purchased through Ballistic Forge.\nVerbal Combatants is a practical workshop designed to make your voice\, posture\, awareness\, and decision-making your first line of defense.\nNot every confrontation needs to become physical. This course teaches practical communication and de-escalation skills that can help you establish boundaries\, recognize escalating behavior\, and create opportunities to safely disengage before a situation becomes violent. \nWhat You’ll Learn\nStudents will work with practical communication strategies and non-confrontational language designed to reduce tension while maintaining clear\, confident boundaries.\nTopics include: \nVerbal de-escalation techniques (L.E.A.P.S)\nConfident boundary setting\nRecognizing manipulative or aggressive behavior\nEnvironmental positioning and distance management\nMaintaining awareness during confrontation\nSafe disengagement\nDecision-making under stress \nRecognize When the Conversation Is Changing\nEffective personal safety also means recognizing when talking is no longer working.\nYou’ll learn how aggressive individuals may use verbal pressure\, intimidation\, boundary testing\, and distraction\, as well as behavioral and physical indicators that may signal an encounter is becoming more dangerous.\nThe goal is to help you recognize when to continue communicating\, when to disengage\, and when you need to shift your attention toward protecting yourself. \nBuild Skills Before You Need Them\nVerbal Combatants gives students an opportunity to think through difficult encounters before they’re standing in the middle of one.\nThese skills can benefit firearm owners and non-firearm owners alike and provide a foundation for additional personal-safety and defensive training.\nBy the end of the workshop\, you’ll have a better understanding of how to communicate under pressure\, establish clear boundaries\, recognize escalating behavior\, and make more deliberate decisions during uncomfortable or potentially dangerous encounters.\nNo firearm ownership or previous defensive training is required. \nParents & Minor Students\nParents are welcome to register their minor children for this course. Personal-safety education can be particularly valuable for younger students as they begin encountering situations independently at school\, work\, social events\, and in public.\nParents should be aware that portions of this course may include mature subject matter and realistic discussion of violence\, criminal behavior\, threatening encounters\, harassment\, or other real-world situations necessary to teach the material effectively.\nParents are encouraged to consider their child’s age and maturity when deciding whether the course is appropriate for them. A parent or legal guardian may also attend with their child.\nBecause you are worth defending.

SUMMARY:Trauma Medical 12/16/26
DESCRIPTION:Instructed By: Jacob Little & Natalee Weidner.\nLocation: Ballistic Forge | 220 S Cliff Ave Suite 102\, Harrisburg\, SD 57032\nThis Clinic is purchased through Ballistic Forge\nYou are your own first responder. In a crisis—whether it is a natural disaster\, a workplace accident\, or a use-of-force incident—help is often minutes or even hours away. Because the #1 cause of death after an injury is preventable bleeding\, the actions you take in the first few seconds determine the outcome. Trauma Medical  is designed to provide the skills\, mindset\, and confidence to bridge the critical gap between injury and the arrival of EMS. \nWhat to Expect\nThis fast-paced\, high-impact clinic moves beyond basic first aid. You will learn to identify life-threatening injuries and apply immediate\, aggressive interventions. The curriculum covers: \nThe ABCs of Trauma: Mastering the sequence of Alert (911)\, Bleeding Control\, and Compress/Pressure. \nCritical Life-Saving Skills: Hands-on training in tourniquet application (CAT-7\, SOFTT-W)\, deep wound packing\, and treating arterial desanguination. \nCPR & Medical Emergencies: Recognition and response protocols for heart attacks\, strokes\, seizures\, and severe allergic reactions (Anaphylaxis). \nEnvironmental & Accidental Trauma: Management of heat stroke\, hypothermia\, poisoning\, burns\, and fractures. \nThe Self-Defender Mindset: Understanding the legal and moral requirements of providing care after a use-of-force incident. \nWho Should Attend\nThis course is essential for anyone who refuses to be a helpless bystander. It is specifically designed for: \nSelf-Defenders & CCW Holders: Learn how to fulfill the medical duty-of-care requirements often associated with self-defense incidents. \nOutdoor Enthusiasts: Acquire the skills necessary for self-reliance in remote environments. \nSafety-Conscious Professionals: Gain the expertise to protect colleagues in industrial or office settings. \nParents & Teachers: Learn to handle pediatric emergencies\, choking\, and allergic reactions. \nRequirements \nLiability Waiver: A signed liability waiver is required for all participants. \nPersonal Gear: Students are encouraged to bring their Everyday Carry (EDC) medical gear. Training with your own equipment ensures you are prepared to deploy it instinctively under stress.
