SUMMARY:Carry Gun Maintenance 11/11/26
DESCRIPTION:Clinic Location: Ballistic Forge\, 220 S Cliff Ave\, Suite 102\, Harrisburg\, SD g\nInstructor: Jacob Little\nClass Registration through Ballistic Forge. \n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nClass Overview\nTaught by the defensive instructors at Warrior Monk Academy and hosted at Ballistic Forge\, Carry Gun Maintenance is a hands-on workshop designed to teach you how to properly clean\, inspect\, lubricate\, and maintain your everyday carry firearm.\nThis isn’t a class where you sit and watch someone else clean a handgun. You’ll work directly with your own firearm\, learning the maintenance process step by step while using cleaning supplies provided by Ballistic Forge. When the class ends\, you’ll leave with a Ballistic Forge Range-Ready Cleaning Kit\, so you have the essential tools and supplies to keep your firearm maintained at home or at the range. \n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nWhat’s Included\nYour registration includes: \nHands-on Instruction: Direct guidance from Warrior Monk Academy instructors. \nIn-Class Supplies: All cleaning supplies provided by Ballistic Forge during the workshop. \nGuided Inspection & Maintenance: Step-by-step cleaning and safety checks of your own carry firearm. \nTake-Home Cleaning Kit: A Ballistic Forge Range-Ready Cleaning Kit to keep. \nPractical Knowledge: Long-term skills you can apply for years to come. \nNote: No need to purchase or bring your own cleaning supplies. Simply bring your unloaded firearm as directed in the class requirements. \n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nWhat You’ll Learn\nYour everyday carry handgun is exposed to unique conditions like sweat\, lint\, dust\, carbon buildup\, moisture\, and lubricant migration. You’ll learn how to safely field-strip your specific firearm and establish a practical maintenance routine covering: \nProper cleaning procedures \nWhere and how much lubricant to apply \nSelecting effective solvents\, lubricants\, and tools without buying unnecessary gear \nAvoiding common maintenance mistakes and over-lubrication issues \nReassembly and full function checks \n1. Inspection & Wear Analysis\nCleaning is your best opportunity to inspect critical components. You will learn how to examine key reliability parts and differentiate normal wear from issues that require professional gunsmithing: \nRecoil assemblies and extractors \nOptics and optic-mounting hardware \nMagazine springs and feed lips \nSigns of corrosion or environmental damage \nGeneral condition of critical components \n2. Equipment Verification & Maintenance Tracking\nMaintenance extends beyond cleaning. We will cover: \nEstablishing baseline round counts and tracking reliability \nFunction-testing principles \nChecking optic condition and readiness \nEvaluating carried ammunition and magazine condition \n3. Storage & Long-Term Care \nShort-term vs. long-term storage options \nRust and corrosion prevention techniques \nManaging moisture and environmental exposure \nEstablishing a realistic\, repeatable maintenance schedule \n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nLeave With More Than Knowledge\nBy the end of the workshop\, you won’t just have watched a demonstration—you will have fully cleaned\, inspected\, and verified your own firearm under professional supervision\, and you’ll head home with the tools to keep doing it right.\nThe goal is simple: to give you the knowledge\, equipment\, and confidence to take full responsibility for the ongoing reliability of your everyday carry firearm.\nA clean firearm is important. A properly maintained and inspected firearm is better.\nBecause you are worth defending.
