Learn the basics. Take care of your rifle.

Proper routine cleaning is an important part of firearm ownership. This hands-on class is designed to teach rifle owners the basics of safely cleaning and maintaining their own rifle at home.

Students will learn how to safely prepare their rifle for cleaning, perform basic field disassembly, clean accessible components, clean the bore, properly lubricate the firearm, and reassemble it when finished.

This class focuses specifically on basic owner-level cleaning and maintenance. It is not an advanced gunsmithing or deep-cleaning course and does not cover complete firearm disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, detailed component servicing, repairs, or other gunsmithing procedures.

Who Is This Class For?

This class is ideal for new rifle owners or anyone who wants to become more comfortable performing routine cleaning and maintenance on their own firearm.

No previous cleaning or maintenance experience is required.

What to Bring

Participants should bring an unloaded rifle they would like to learn how to clean. Cleaning supplies and any additional items required for the class will be listed with the class information.

All firearms must arrive unloaded. No live ammunition is permitted in the classroom.

This class covers routine owner-level cleaning only. Advanced cleaning, detailed disassembly, repairs, diagnostics, and gunsmithing services are available separately through Ballistic Forge LLC.
