Class Overview
Welcome to the South Dakota Enhanced Concealed Carry course! This comprehensive program is designed to fulfill all state requirements for your Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit—extending your concealed carry privileges to 38 states.
While this course covers essential legal and tactical concepts, we maintain an encouraging, approachable environment where every student can feel confident and supported. (Note: If you are brand new to firearms, we recommend taking a basic pistol course first, but shooters of all experience levels are welcome!)
What You’ll Learn
South Dakota Gun Laws: Clear breakdown of state self-defense laws, firearm handling/care, transport regulations, and reciprocity in other states.
Real-World Scenarios: Video analysis and interactive group discussions on practical self-defense situations.
Concealed Carry Lifestyle: Practical guidance on daily carry considerations, mindset, and responsible ownership.
Live-Fire Range Portion: 100 rounds of guided range practice designed to build discipline, accuracy, and safe handling.
1-on-1 Coaching: Individualized instruction to refine your shooting mechanics and decision-making under stress.

What to Bring & Requirements
Handgun & Holster: Bring a reliable semi-automatic handgun and a quality holster.
Holster Safety Video Requirement: All students must watch our Holster Safety Video in its entirety prior to class and confirm they have reviewed it.
Holster Evaluation/Rentals: If your holster does not meet our safety requirements, or if you need to rent a holster and setup from us, please inform us at least 2 weeks in advance so we can have appropriate gear ready for you.
Ammunition: 100 rounds of factory ammunition.
Eye & Ear Protection: Required on the range. (Don’t have safety gear or a firearm? Reach out to us before class and we’ll gladly help set you up!)
Liability Waiver: Completed prior to or at the start of class (available digitally or in person).
Personal Comforts: Feel free to bring snacks, water, or non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy during class and break periods.
What You’ll Take Away
Upon completion, you will have met all state-mandated requirements to apply for your S.D. Enhanced Concealed Permit. More importantly, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of firearm laws, enhanced live-fire skills, safe holster mechanics, and the confidence to responsibly navigate the concealed carry lifestyle.
